It is so odd to me that I rarely remember dreams. If I do remember one and don’t write it down within minutes of waking up, I will forget it almost entirely. Now, ask me to recall any single memory from childhood and I can recount the smallest of details. I think this is survival brain. Will I have more space to dream when I let go? This is the topic of my next post. The space to dream seems pertinent for evolution.

Dreams… as a child I had a recurring dream of animals in the woods dancing around a fire. The bear was scary! I can still picture the entire dream. Now I have very vivid dreams. Many times I dream about somebody and then find out the next day they died. I hate those ! My ex used to say “ please don’t dream about me!” . I am not sure why that happens, but it has quite a few times. Most of my dreams are kind of crazy, but I do have some that I am certain contain a message.

June! Animals dancing around a fire with a terrifying bear sounds like such a small child dream. How incredible that you remember that! I'm very superstitious and read messages into even small things so I would definitely come to dread the dreams I had as an adult about others. Amazing all of this! Thanks for sharing.

I remember at least one dream a night. My dreams are also fantastical like one you've described here. I read somewhere that if you try to make an effort to remember your dreams (or write them down with consistency) you're better able to remember them.

Wow...One dream a night! Do you write them down, Gloria? I love the idea of remembering more of them.

I write them down sometimes, but before I go to sleep I make a conscious effort to remember my dreams. I guess it's like an affirmation: I will remember my dreams in the morning. It really works. It drives my husband nuts because I love telling him about my dreams. HAHA.

That's GREAT! The affirmation and the telling. Thanks for sharing, Gloria.
