Phew, I hear this on decision fatigue! I am an automator as much as possible, but there is no hack to living in this world and making it through a day without decision fatigue. I stopped Wordle a long time ago because it didn't bring me much joy. Let me know what you decide about a new writing group--I'd like to share that info with some folks!

I’ve been avoiding wordle too for this exact reason, I can’t even keep up with my Duolingo 😂 decision fatigue seems to be an everyday occurrence, thank you for sharing!

I loved then quit wordle. I’d do it while drinking coffee and doing “lunchroom duty” while my dogs ate their first meal of the day. When wordle went well/easily, I’d feel good about myself. Days where it didn’t and/or my beloved spouse got it much faster than me started the day on a sour note. So last year, which I think I’ll forever refer to as The Year, I just quit. It’s also why I don’t play scrabble with my spouse (or her mother).

An early iteration of this piece started out with my fury when I didn't get the word, Heather. So I totally feel you on why you no longer play! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I always start with the same word too. And my sisters and I text our scores to each other. Fun moment of connection

I love that you text the score to your sisters, Donna! Those everyday connections matter. Thanks for reading and sharing.
