My daughter who, when five years old described a can of La Croix, as “spicy” is Team Sweet. She’ll try any pastry, cake, pie, cookie, ice cream, gummy candy.
I am Team Bitter all the way. Give me the Campari, broccoli rabe, grapefruit, dark chocolate, kale, cranberries. Favorite bitter drink: a Negroni in winter months, Aperol Spritz in warm weather. Favorite winter salad: marinated kale with my ACV dressing, sunflower seeds, cranberries and roasted butternut squash.
What a fun question! I think sweet wins for me, but I also like a salty-sweet combo, which is why my favorite snack ever is chocolate covered pretzels.
And speaking of delicious cocktails, my favorite winter adult beverage is a Paper Plane, which is made with Aperol and has an interesting flavor profile that's not quite bitter, but also has a lot of depth and because of the Aperol it's sort of a cousin of the Aperol Spritz. Give it a try if you haven't already - you might like it.
You've got to try a Paper Plane. Don't be thrown off by the Bourbon. I don't usually like bourbon but it's a perfect complement to the flavors in a Paper Plane.
Salty! Chips and salsa, popcorn, cheese and crackers. Olives! Dirty Martini is my favorite cocktail. Nothing sweet. I can eat a bite of cake or pie, but that’s enough and sometimes too much for me. No sweet breakfast foods ether! Eggs, cheese, bacon.
I have a HUGE sweet tooth. But I think combining sweet and salty is the best! Every night, I pop a 100 calorie bag of popcorn and eat it with my 70% dark chocolate. Divine!
Salty and fatty in combination - I can never pass up a potato chip! Bitter would be a close second though, particularly with winter greens. I'm ready for all the radicchio, escarole, and collards. I wish I liked Aperol, but have just never been able to get into it.

What.
What?!? How do I not know of this drink? Yes ma’am, I will be trying! Mmmmmmm.

Will do!!
Oooh, chocolate covered pretzels! Or yogurt-covered pretzels! LOVE them!

Olives! Oh yes I remember you love a Dirty martini, June. And yes to all that salty crunch.

Oh that's a neat combo, Melissa! Sounds delish. Allison might need to try this idea for the crunch and sweet together.

Ooooh, yes, Jill! I love potato chips too. And all those bitter greens...yum!
What about Campari? I do love the color and taste.
